You have a questions ?

 Question :
Do you drill any holes?

Answer :
Yes, we drill holes in specific locations in order to reach all the areas that are likely to rust. For example, the doors, the rocker panels and the back fenders.

 Question :
Can the holes drilled rust?
Answer :
No, because each hole is coated with a special product to prevent it from rusting.

 Question :
Do you have a «no dripping» or «minimal dripping» treatment?

Answer : No. «Minimal dripping» or «no dripping» treatments that are offered by other companies only satisfy the customer, not the vehicle. At Metropolitan Rustproofing, effectiveness is what’s most important.

 Question :
My vehicle has polymer panels, can I have it treated anyway?
Answer :
Yes, we can treat the underneath at a lower price. The whole underneath will be treated along with the hood and hinges.

 Question :
Why should we have our vehicle treated every year?
Answer :
Winter is harsh in Quebec and Ontario and makes most chemical products lose their efficiency over time. Extreme temperature changes, abrasion caused by calcium, sand and dust will eventually remove the product and leave certain parts of the vehicle without protection.

 Question :
Should I have my new vehicle treated right away?
Réponse :
Yes, this way the corrosion process won’t have a chance to start.

 Question :
I have a used vehicle, is it really worth having it treated?
Answer :
Certainly, if you’re thinking about getting your vehicle rust proofed, it must be because it’s in good condition. The treatment will stabilize existing rust and slow it down considerably.

 Question :
How long does a treatment take?
Answer :
Between 30 minutes and two hours, depending on the vehicle.

 Question :
Does it drip for a long time?
Answer :
No, not more than two days.

 Question :
Can the product affect rubber, plastic, electrical systems, sound systems, etc.?
Answer :
No.

 Question :
What are the advantages of oil vs a thicker product in a rust proofing treatment?
Answer :
The oil, which is fluid, will reach areas that are out of reach for a thicker product. Also, the oil’s fluidity allows it to penetrate the metal. As for thicker products, they form a protective coating on the metal surface. This thick coating will, in time, dry, crack and fall to pieces, and may also clog up drainage holes. The areas left unprotected will be vulnerable to rust. What’s more, the corrosion process can actually speed up because water can seep into areas left unprotected, and therefore speed up the corrosion process.

 Question :
Can the rain wash away the product?
Answer :
No, the oil has a strong adherence to the metal and does not mix with water. This way, it forms a shield against water and humidity. Just try washing your hands with water only when they are covered with oil, it’s virtually impossible, you need soap.
